Biwa pearls are beautiful cultured pearls which were traditionally produced from Lake Biwa in Japan, but are now produced across Asia. The pearls grow in freshwater mussels and are seeded inside them through soft mantle tissue. They have an unusual shape and a lovely lustre. The pearls in this bracelet are very high quality freshwater double Biwa stick pearls and are 100% natural.
This gemstone bracelet is an excellent example of Biwa pearl jewellery. It looks stunning against all skin types and the biwa pearls are set in sterling silver. The pearl bracelet measures approximately 20.5cm from one end to the other, and is 25mm across at its widest point. The bracelet has three loops for adjusting size and is finished with a sleek toggle.
